The Nara Prefectural New Public Hall was constructed in 1987 in commemoration
of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Nara Prefecture. It is located
in the center of Nara National Park, which is famous for its beauty and
for its 1200 tame deer. Famous tourist spots such as Kofukuji Temple,
Todaiji Temple, and Kasuga Shrine are within walking distance of the hall.

Nara Prefecture is located in the middle of the Kii peninsula on the western half of
Honshu, Japan. Nara Prefecture is part of the Kansai region, or Kinki region of Japan.
It is located to the south of Kyoto, and to the east of Osaka.
Nara, the original capital or birthplace of Japan, is known as the heart of Japanese
